There is a light colored hat

I made this hat out of a bunch of left over yarn. That's me playing and singing "There is a Light That Never Goes Out" by The Smiths.

New Song

I was sick with a cold today, so I decided to work on this new song. It's called "It's Just Nice". Now that I've finished the Carbonell record I wanted to take a musical turn in a new direction, using keyboards and audio tricks and a different style of songwriting altogether.

Here are the lyrics, kinda romantically poetic I guess:

Peanut M&Ms - Great source of fiber, protein, and antioxidants.
Original Corn Nuts - 3 ingredients: Corn, Corn Oil, Salt. SImple and crunchy.

CARBONELL RECORD

I finally finished my Carbonell record! The album features 11 original songs. I chose to do this album SUPER DIY. I recorded all the songs live using an Edirol handheld recorder and edited the tracks using Garage Band. I created the CD cases using simple origami and tape. For the design, I commissioned a friend to paint me a watercolor piece which came out really cool. My whole concept for this Carbonell project was just to be able to express myself using words and simple songs. I am proud of the end result of "Lost Balloon" and would be glad to give you a CD! Clouds

This is a cover of a song called Clouds by a band called Quasi. They toured with Elliott Smith in the early 90's. A lot of their songs have lyrics about science which is really neat. This is one of the most honest songs about the futility of relationships.

Georgia

I played at this Valencia High School Swing Jazz Choir Dance thing. There were some really good singers.

Gato Heroi

This board kicks ass. It's a 9'8" Gato Heroi with a glassed-on fin made by Robbie Kegel. Just got it! I was worried about buying a longboard without nose concave, but was totally surprised at how well this board rides. Concave really slows you down especially when you are digging in really hard to get into a wave. Turning is ridiculous on this board and it has a really free feel to it. It noserides super well and stays fast to beat sections. No leash loop, but who cares!

Wow

new-skin liquid bandage. This stuff works so good! I tend to cut my feet often on rocks at places like San Onofre and get gnarly blisters sometimes too. This stuff is the best!

Show Choir

Playing a strange show choir gig. Cool costumes though.

Upgrade

I upgraded this beanie by adding a hip purple stripe. This is currently one of my favorites.
